National Labor College is the only college in the United States with an exclusive mission to serve the educational needs of the labor movement. Next Step Learning Center is an adult literacy program serving the residents of Oakland, and especially West and Downtown Oakland. openhouse was founded ten years ago to develop ground-breaking programs for our LGBT seniors and those who support them. openhouse today delivers a range of housing, services and community programs. Our Family Coalition promotes the civil rights and well-being of Bay Area lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer families with children and prospective parents through education, advocacy, social networking, and grassroots community organizing. Physicians for Social Responsibility is the voice of physicians concerned about nuclear war, environmental issues, and gun violence. The San Francisco LGBT Center, the first LGBT Center built from the ground up, provides space and programs that welcome the entire LGBT community and our allies, and provides a community model to cities around the globe.
